Job Title:                      Testing Lab Manager

Position Summary:                                                                               

Lead team of quality control technicians in testing of three product lines - aggregates, asphalt, and concrete products.  Manage the day-to-day scheduling of, development, leadership, safety, and motivation of team.  Coordinate the effective execution of the San Antonio District Quality Control plan.  Interact with operations and District management, and Division QC Manager.                                                                          

                                                                                               

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree, preferably in Engineering (Civil, Mining), or Business, or equivalent experience required.
  • Professional Engineer, or Engineer-In-Training (EIT) preferred.
  • Three (+) years supervisory experience required.
  • Solid knowledge of QC discipline in one or more of product lines (aggregates, asphalt, or concrete) required.
  • Certifications from the American Concrete Institute (ACI Level 1) and/or Hot-Mix Association (HMA Level 1A, Level II) preferred.
  • Experience interacting with governmental agencies (DOT, etc).
  • Experience with AggQC a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Position Summary:

Responsible for maintenance best practices for fleet of construction equipment within the Southwest Division. Manage, develop, and lead team of service technicians and mechanics with regard to safety and efficiency.  Effectively interact and coordinate activities with operations, District, and Division management.                                                                                   


Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mining, Civil, Mechanical),  or equivalent experiece required.
  • Five years in mining or construction/materials industry.
  • Three years in supervisory/leadership position required.
  • Experience in HE Mechanic field, particularly CAT, preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to interact effectively with individuals internal and external (i.e. vendors and contractors) to organization.
  • Proficient in MS Office.  JDE experience a plus.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
